  1. MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION APPLICATIONS

  3. Chilean software houses have met the challenge to develop systems
  4. for management, administration and operation in business and
  5. industry.
  6.  
  7. Chile's sustained economic growth has spurred expansion in all
  8. industry sectors, including fishing, forestry, mining, agriculture,
  9. product exportation, etc.
  10.  
  11. Many of these revitalized and newly created companies are oriented
  12. to exportation and, in order to compete in international markets,
  13. have been required to develop and maintain high standards of
  14. efficiency.

  16. Similarly, the national software industry has had to confront an
  17. increasing diversity of competitive software products created by
  18. large international software houses.
  19.  
  20. Within this frame of reference, Chilean software has been proven
  21. successful in meeting its multiples objectives:

  23. -    to crate systems that resolve the specific problems of management
  24.     and administration for a wide range of economic activities,
  25.  
  26. -    to satisfy the requirements of companies that are reaching out into
  27.     the international marketplace and
  28.  
  29. -    to compete with the enormous variety of software products available
  30.     throughout the world.
